Stanley began playing drums as a teen and then migrated to guitar, hitching rides to lessons in Denville, NJ. But he’s learned most of what he knows about both guitar and singing from his buddy and talented bandmate, John Gibson. As half of the politically conscious band “In the Public Interest,” they recorded two CDs of Stanley’s original songs. Now his contribution to the world is helping people get up and dance to a variety of great classic rock tunes, because they are so much fun!
Hailing originally from Vermont, John cut his teeth in the jam band scene of the early 1980s in Burlington. He came to Boston in 1984 to pursue his dreams at Berklee College of Music. He continues making music with friends in the Boston area, including playing lead guitar with Stanley & The Undercovers.
Tom was born and raised in the Boston area. He’s been interested in music since he was a child watching his uncle’s band play, and he even got a chance to play with them once he was older. Tom started out playing guitar but switched to the bass about 30 years ago. He played 25 years in a reggae band before joining the Undercovers, where he’s settled into his rhythm section role with John S.
John is a native Bostonian who has been playing drums since he was a child with sticks, pots and pans. He is a versatile rock drummer who loves 60s pop and soul. You’ll always see him smiling and singing along as he propels the band.
